Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P431 (4-12-19)

Bob George answered calls from several believers who wanted clarification of truth. There are many things people hear from the church world today. Oftentimes what they hear is confusing and contrary to what they have been reading in God’s word. There is a tendency to trust what a pastor says over what can clearly be revealed from God’s word. Remember, the Holy Spirit is your teacher and He will guide you into all truth. Take heed to His word.

Michael was puzzled about these parents who take their kids to psychologists to get treated for behavioral issues like attention deficit disorder. Where does that all come from. Bob tells people to go to the manufacturer. Who created our bodies and knows how we are made? God. Then go to God and find out about how our mind, will and emotions work. Yet, oftentimes, the first person we see is a psychologist, and more often than not, he does not even know the Lord. Why go to the ungodly for counsel?

Another caller, Martha, had such a sweet spirit about her. Being a new believer she wanted to learn. She had been hearing on the radio about the New Covenant and wanted to know what that was all about.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Born Free

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P430 (4-11-19)

Bob George received calls from several people asking for help in understanding scriptures or for help in a situation in life they are facing. From time to time, people call who do not know the Lord but their heart is ready to receive the message of the good news of God’s grace. That is the case when George called. Bob had the privilege to share the message of God’s salvation to him. He accepted that gift of eternal life and became a new member of the family of God. Barney had a question concerning the topic of what happened to Jesus when he died, Did he ever cease to exist. So Bob explained that death is simply a change in location. Either a person will spend eternity in a place called hell or in heaven with God. You can only go to heaven with Jesus. Believers have a longing in their heart to be absent from the body to be present with the Lord. But they know they will remain as long as the Lord desires so that they will be of fruitful labor for others joy and benefit. Michael had a question concerning church.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Took Away the Sins of the World

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 6 (04-10-19)

Bob George shares from John 2 about the miracle of water turned to wine. This was Jesus first miracle when he started his public ministry at age 30. Many have heard what John had spoken concerning Jesus as the Messiah. They heard him say, “behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” When they saw this miracle there were those who believed in him. For no one can do what he did.

Bob also shared several passages in the synoptic gospels showing that Jesus had brothers and sisters. John 2:12, Matthew 13:55-56, Mark 3:31-32, John 7:1-6, and Mark 3:20-21 all record that Jesus had brothers or sisters. How important it is to stand firm in the word of God for truth and not rely on the traditions of men. When people deny what is so clearly stated and obvious in the scriptures, then what other errors are people willing to believe. That is the case with Catholic teaching that claims Mary was always a virgin and also that Mary is a co-redeemer with Jesus. That is heretical teaching. Such teaching is not found in the word of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Changes Water to Wine

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 5 (04-09-19)

Bob George continues now in the book of John, chapter 2. He paused briefly to explain that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are referred to as the synoptic gospels. These gospels provide further details that are left out in the book of John. Each of the gospels had a different viewpoint since written to a different audience. Matthew was writing from the standpoint of legal rights to the Messianic throne. Luke provided a detailed account on the life of Christ. Mark wrote primarily to the Gentiles. John was written in 95 A.D. at the end of John’s life about the love of God.

In the first 18 verses, you read about the beginning and the word of God. Then in verse 19, you read John’s testimony.

John 1:19-20
19 Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders[c] in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. 20 He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Messiah.”

In between this time and prior to verse 19, you read in the other gospels other details such as John baptizing in the Jordan river and Jesus temptation in the wilderness.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 4 (04-08-19)

Bob George continues teaching from the book of John. He briefly shares from the gospel of Matthew to provide further information. John the Baptist came with an appeal to men to change your mind. So too is the same appeal for the hearts of men today concerning truth in regards to what you have been trusting for salvation. Are you depending on anything you can do to be in the presence of God? Then change your mind. All of Jesus and none of me. This is a personal decision between you and God. Do you believe what the bible says as revealed by Jesus Christ, the word of God? What does He want you to believe? Truth.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You cannot say you are a believer in Christ and still go to a priest. You cannot say you are a believer in Christ and rededicate your life and commit to keeping short accounts with God. Do you say, “I am the initiator and He is the responder?” Is that true? No.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Forgave You

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P428 (4-04-19)

Several callers asked questions that showed their lack of discernment of scriptures. More often than not they are hearing incorrect teaching from the pulpit yet failing to check out what has been clearly revealed through simply reading of the word of God. Other times they are simply growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ but had not quite grasped truth from God’s word. By someone simply pointing out the meaning of God’s word, by asking simple questions from God’s word, the answer is more evident and clear. What also is beneficial is to have a clear understanding of law and grace and that everything written down in the word of God is not written to you. Those things written down by the prophets were often written to those still under an Old Covenant since Jesus had not yet come during their life time to replace the Old Covenant of law with a New Covenant of grace. Yet the prophets, by revelation of the Holy Spirit, also spoke of things to come and to be fulfilled in Jesus Christ. A person must be born again to discern spiritual truth.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
