~ Jesus said, “If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.” ^{John 5:46}

“And what Christ said, is to focus on Him, to turn your eyes upon Jesus and to look full in his wonderful face. And the things of the world will grow strangely dim in the light of his wonder and grace to keep your eyes upon Jesus. And what that is meaning is to focus on Christ, he should be the focus of everything that we do, and everything that we say, in this life. And he came into the world to tell people this truth. And there was rebellion against that, because their focus was on something else, their focus, in this particular case, was on their religion, on their traditions, and on the teaching of Moses, and on the person of Moses. And so they would have been saying, Look, we’re followers of Moses, not you. And so he was saying to them, that I’m not going to accuse you before the Father. Jesus Is God in Flesh ~ Agree With The Word of God

~ There are many folks that want to claim that Mary was a perpetual virgin, yet we see in scripture that after she gave birth to Jesus, conceived by the Holy Spirit, Mary and Joseph had other sons and daughters through normal marriage sexual relations.

~ When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there and coming to his hometown, He began teaching the people in the synagogue, and they were amazed. Where did this man get his wisdom? And these are miraculous powers. They asked, isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary? And aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? And aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things, and they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them only in his hometown in his own house, is a prophet without honor, and he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.

Jesus Turns Water Into Wine ~ His First Recorded Miracle

“On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” ^{John 2:1-5}

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P18 (03-17-21)

Synopsis

As was prophesied through the prophet Jeremiah, and explained more thoroughly in the book of Hebrews, we live today under a new covenant. Jeremiah and Jesus both lived under an old covenant. While Jesus was on this earth, He lived under an old covenant while speaking about a new covenant to come. He initiated a new covenant, or new will, after His death on a cross. Just as we have a will today that only goes into effect after the person living dies, so too with this new covenant Jesus spoke about, that also the writer of Hebrews explains.

The old covenant was one of law, like a tutor to those under the law until Christ should come to fulfill the law. No man could fulfill all the just requirements of the law. This law required perfection and if anyone failed at just one point, he was guilty of breaking all of it. Synopsis

We have been reading the testimony of the bible concerning itself. As you read through the pages, you cannot but help notice a divine author, the testimony of Jesus Himself, who is the living word who came down from heaven, who speaks into the hearts of men. You cannot separate the word of God from the person of God. And if Jesus is who He claims to be, God, and the divine author, then what is written through these pages is true.

So all those people and events we read about in the scriptures are true, whether from the Old Testament or the New Testament. Not only are they true, but they testify of what will be accomplished in and through the person of Jesus Christ. For example, the prophet Jeremiah testified of a new covenant that will come after a certain period of time in history. We are now living under that new covenant today. Jesus Loves You He Forgave All Your Sins

Synopsis

The older you get, you will experience the death of someone you love, of a mother or father or a close friend. Or you may be experiencing a very difficult situation where a close friend is sick, or is in a critical accident, and is unconscious. You call on others to pray with you. Now, do we pray in accordance with God’s will or do we expect God to answer whatever we pray? Do we falsely think that since God lives in me, and He healed people, that, therefore, we can ask anything in His name and He will do it? In other words, am I telling God what to do so that He must respond to me, or am I listening to the voice of God and responding to what He has intended me to do or say?
