~ Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:9 The will of God is first and foremost we believe in Jesus. That’s the main thing that counts with everything. And once a person believes and places faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit enters into a person and brings eternal life to them immediately. From there, we are to abide in the the Holy Spirit. We are to listen to the Holy Spirit teach us all truth. And folks, there is much much truth that needs to be taught to all of us. Don’t ever think you know it all, because that is the flesh talking. The Holy Spirit will also show you the meaning of everything if you study and pay attention to the details. Jesus gave an example of a woman who never stopped pleading for justice to an UNJUST judge. The judge finally relented and essentially was tired of her pleadings, and so he granted her justice against her adversary. All Your Sins HAVE Been Forgiven Once for ALL at The Cross

~ Isn’t that a strange thing you see what I do and how I respond? And it’s as if you can turn your radio down there because we’re getting a little back live. Yeah, it is, okay. We are responders. God made us to be a responder not an initiator. No one initiated forgiveness at the cross. Not one person said, Jesus, forgive me. No one initiated creation. And no one of us initiated salvation. It was all done by God, and were responders to the work of God. Now, the way we respond is a direct indicator of what we believe or think we believe in regard to what he initiated. And so if I am responding to God saying, I have to go seek forgiveness, it’s because I don’t know that he has forgiven me.

What is the True Gospel?

Many topics of conversation came up in today’s program. These topics of conversation are extremely relevant for today. There are so many pastors that have huge church followings for prosperity gospel teachings. This is not the gospel! And that is where we begin today.

The first caller, Ken called from Frisco Texas. He had a question about searching for a church in their area. Also, he noticed that a lot of the pastors taught the prosperity gospel. In addition to that he wanted to know Bob’s opinion on the husband and wife team being lead pastors at a church.

Bob explains out of the Book of 1 Timothy chapter 6 in regards to these false teachers that preach a prosperity gospel is of a corrupt mind.

Another caller asks Bob about Jesus turning water into wine. Understanding the timing issue too. Very interesting. Jesus does nothing other than what the Father tells Him to do. Jesus lived as the perfect Man, following all what the Father had told him to do.

Another caller asks about multiple wives in the Old Testament. Today we are told one man and one woman in marriage.

Synopsis

As you read through chapter eleven in the book of Hebrews, you will read about several Old Testament people and events that happened during their lifetime. We read about these men of faith, some that conquered kingdoms and others that were conquered for the cause of Christ, some were strong and did great exploits whereas others were sawed in two or wandered around in holes in the ground. But all of them were commended for their faith.

So you ask yourself, why would the writer of Hebrews think it important to write about these people and events? Certainly he believed they were real people and real events. Then you also have the apostles Peter and Paul also writing and referencing people and events, and sometimes the same people and the same events. Did they think they were real people and real events? What about their enemies? Did they think they were real people and real events? As you ponder over these things, you must conclude they were real people and real, and not fairy tales.

He was exposed to hearing teaching on the prosperity gospel and women pastors and what the word of God had to say about those things. Teachers of the prosperity gospel are charlatans in accordance with what one reads from 1 Timothy 6. Bob explains that they are using godliness as a means for financial gain, among other things. As far a woman pastors, God designed woman as a helper suitable for man, and, according to scripture are not to be put in a position in authority over a man.
