The Work of God is to Believe in Jesus

~ Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?”

Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:28,29

~ There are numerous people today that come up with all types of doing good works requirements for being saved, and yet when you question them, what are the good works that must be done to be saved? They have no answer. The legalists love using this doing good works argument to point out to others, you’ve got to do “good works” in order to be saved. Okay, if that is the case, how many and what are they? Most of the time you will get silence from them when you question them. Other times they will quote Scripture out of context, and repeat something from the book of James, James 2:20-26 yet will never provide the examples of works represented in the book of James itself.

Bottom line, there is only one work required to be saved, and it is the work of God, and that is to believe in Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Star of Bethlehem Came to Rest Over Jesus

~ “And they, having heard the king, departed, and behold, the star, that they saw in the east, went before them, until, having come, it stood over where the Child was.” ^{Matthew 2:9 Literal Standard Version}

~ “Well, after they had heard the king, they went on their way. And then the star, that and then the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them, until it stopped over the place where the child was. Now folks, we could sit here all day long, and talk about that being just a normal star in the sky, and you got people to talk about the planets are all lined up. And, and that’s what happened. And you got all kinds of studies on that type of thing. I don’t care how you line up the stars, a star doesn’t lead you to a place. And so this star that we’re talking about was something special that God put there. It wasn’t something that could be explained by the study of stars. It was a unique thing in the sky. Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P2 (08-10-21)

Jesus, God in Flesh, Sacrificed Himself Once for The Sins of The Whole World!

The Old Testament, as described in Deuteronomy, the ten commandments, is a list of commands that God commanded man to keep. In addition to those commands, all that is contained in the Law of Moses, the ceremonial laws, grain offerings and dietary laws, were required to be kept. Included in that was the sacrificing of bulls and goats, to cover sin. That was called atonement. Once a year, on the Day of Atonement, the Israelites were required to come to Jerusalem to get all their sins covered, that they had accumulated that whole year. The high priest had to sacrifice a bull or a goat brought to them by a person wanting their sins covered. Those sins were only covered until the next year, and those sacrifices would have to be performed all over again. In addition to those annual sacrifices there were also those daily sacrifices for sin as well, that would never end, and could not take away sins. They were a constant reminder of sin (Romans 3:20) and could never make anyone perfect (Hebrews 10:1).… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
