The gospel of good news in Christ Jesus is a practical message that changes lives. The truth of Christ lives in you and truly sets you free. The root cause of marriage is people trying to get a need met from the spouse for love and acceptance. Those are things only God can give you. So when a spouse expects this to be met by her mate then that drains him of energy and puts a strain and burden on the marriage. Such was the case with Katie who called. She called with great emotional pain, having been married for two years but currently separated from her husband for three months now. She also was worried about her future and said she was trying to think positively.

Bob addressed several truths for her to grab a hold of. It is not a matter of thinking positively on a situation or your circumstances but thinking truthfully and realistically. Bob George, continues his teaching from God’s word from the book of John. He has a passion to share insight from God’s word to help the listener walk in true freedom. Beginning with this very passage, Bob elaborates on foundation principles for walking in freedom. How do you overcome fear, depression and anxiety? These are problems common to all men, and Jesus alone knows how we are made and has the solution. Then, after a short break, he speaks on a subject titled “Prepared or Scared”. He exhorts believers to be prepared for tribulation to come and the importance of spiritual training, contrasting the training offered in the natural realm, such as universities or the corporate world, with an appeal to believers to show yourself as an approved workman, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The first caller, Katy, shared a personal story about her husband leaving her, resulting in struggles with anxiety of the future while pondering over the possibility of reconciliation and restoration. Bob George tenderly reaches out with truth and insight, full of compassion and offered an opportunity for both her and her husband to receive further biblical instruction. The second caller, Matt, had a question in regards to those people today who call themselves Apostles, and a more vague question about people calling themselves as the first lady or first family of their church.
