God Jesus is Love

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P25 (04-03-23)

True Agape Love Comes From God

~ “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4:7,8

“In chapter 13, he says, I’m going to show you a more excellent way. Because guys, the opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is pride. That’s the opposite. Love is patient. Pride is never patient. Love is kind. Pride is never kind. Is it? Love never keeps records of wrongs. Pride can’t afford not to keep records of wrongs. In case you get a little one upmanship on me, I got my record of you to get back at you. There are some people that you can never criticize that they’re not going to put it right back on you. Have you ever known people like that? That you say, Well, you know, you did. this. Oh, that’s what you do too. Got even with them that time. What’s pride, that’s a prideful thing that I’ve got to shoot back. And we … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P15 (01-03-22)

Rejoice in the Finality of the Cross and The Reality of The Resurrection

Welcome to a continuation A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection. We also encourage you to pick up a copy of A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross.

Understanding both the Cross and the Resurrection are keys to understanding the gospel. When you study the word of God, allow the Holy Spirit to renew your mind and reveal the truth to you.

Romans 12:2
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Jesus took away the wrath of God for our sins. He did not atone for sins, He took them away. Propitiation means it was satisfied for the sins of the whole world. It is finished. He loved us so much that He did this for us! He took away ALL OUR SINS! Once we grab a hold of this Truth then we rest in His Love for us. … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

In Christ Jesus We are Saints

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P14 (12-15-21)

When You Are In Christ Jesus, You Are A New Creation! A Saint!

Grab a hold of your identity in Christ Jesus. When Jesus makes you a new creation, He makes you a saint. You can never be a sinner again. As Bob tells it, you are a new butterfly, quit believing you are a worm.

John 15:5
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

So now, we abide in Christ Jesus. If you have Christ living in you, you are now a brand new person. You are a SAINT. You are no longer a sinner. Understand that you are no longer a sinner. God sees you as a saint. He sees you as a child of God. We need to see ourselves as He sees us!

1 John 4:10 (KJV)
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Jesus is Our Sabbath Rest Now Rest

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P634 (05-14-21)

Synopsis

To grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is important that we do not rely on what a denominational persuasion says, whether Baptist, Catholic, or Presbyterian, or whatever else it might be. Nor should we rely on what the early church fathers said, what Polycarp, John Wesley or Martin Luther said. Nor do we blindly rely on People to People or whatever common ministry is out there today. If what someone says is in agreement with truth as revealed by the Spirit of God through the word of God, then certainly hold onto such truth, for that is revealed by the Spirit of God, who does not lie.

Ultimately, we need to study the word of God for ourselves, as Paul commended the people of Berea for doing, for they diligently studied the scriptures to see if what he said was so, and they only had the Old Testament scriptures available to them in their day. Now that the gift of prophecy has been given to the prophets as well as the apostles, and the divine revelation from God to men has been written down, by … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The Law of Love

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P40 (05-10-21)

Synopsis

The one thing people are looking for is unconditional love and acceptance. We cannot give that to someone else, not in the energy of our flesh. So much marital strife is because one spouse has unrealistic expectations on another, expecting their partner to provide what he or she is unable to provide. Yet, the Lord Jesus Christ commands us to love one another just as He loved us. So what is Jesus saying to us? Is He telling us to do something that is impossible for us to do? Yes and no, because it is not us doing it.

The key to the Christian life is a life of dependency, of trust in the one who loves you perfectly, and only God can do that, for God is love. Jesus, as the second Adam, modeled perfectly for us how we are to live. He limited Himself in the use of His divine attributes in a manner that we would have to relate to God, after having the Spirit placed in us at a new spiritual birth. Was it not from His complete dependency upon His Father? … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Vine and Branches

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P538 (05-22-20)

Synopsis

It is so common to be in a bible study and hear erroneous teaching. Yes, even preachers teach things that are false. Often times people are raised under denominational teaching since their youth, and repeat what they here as if it that is the truth. Why? I heard it in Sunday school. Sadly, many people would rather hold onto tradition, thinking it is of equal par with the scriptures. Others simply do not know the scriptures to discern truth from error. So how then can you discern what is true and what is error? Do you have to go to seminary and study Greek and Hebrew? No. If anyone lacks wisdom ask of God and He will give you wisdom without partiality.

First of all, to discern truth from error, you must be born again so that you can have the mind of Christ, so you can have the Spirit of God guide you into all truth. We will never be in a state where we do not need a continual renewing of the mind. But to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, you must … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
