Jesus Wants Your Faith to be in Him

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P593 (12-11-20)

Synopsis

We all struggle in growing in Christ, learning how to overcome worry and all kinds of sin, and how to make wise decisions in those difficult things of life. Much of our struggle is because we are leaning on our understanding, trying to work things out in the energy of our flesh, or are focusing, not on Christ, but our circumstances and surroundings, and letting the voice of the world crowd out truth. Our mind has drifted from focusing on Christ to the thinking and pattern of the world.

It also takes time to grow. When you first come to Christ, it seems hard to navigate through the word of God and through the things you hear. You may not have the discernment yet to know what is right and what is wrong or what is the better choice. At times, you just do not know the truth, or lack the wisdom from God to know how to proceed. Yes, it is good to hear from mature believers in the Lord, to help you out. But ultimately, any human being can misguide you, because they may not know the truth … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Heaven is Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P511 (02-13-20)

Synopsis

The Jews have been taught all their life from the Old Testament scriptures by the rabbis, but many of the religious leaders in their day did not understand the purpose of the law. They taught the laws as a means of righteousness. They also added traditions of men, which God never approved, and which Jesus pointed out their error. How hard it is for people today to receive truth, when they have been taught wrong from their religious traditions, whether Catholic, Protestant or Jewish. You do not know you are taught wrong. You hear an explanation from a Protestant or Catholic religious leader, but you do not know why Jesus died, was buried and rose again, for you.

Listen, as Bob George, through simply reading the scriptures in its entirety, and in its context, explains what Jesus meant when he said, in John 6:52 and following, “you must eat my body and drink my blood”. This is such a passage of scripture that has been reinforced by those who have been raised Catholic that at the communion mass, when the priest raises the wafer, that it becomes the literal body … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Receive Jesus God

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 61 (08-20-19)

Synopsis

Bob continues to share from John 12. Jesus identifies Himself as the Light of the world. We live in a world full of darkness. The real darkness is that there are souls that do not have the Spirit of God living in them. The Light of the world is not living in them and they are wandering in darkness. They are blind to the truth and cannot understand truth when they hear it. Those who are humble of heart listen to truth and let that truth sink in. If my heart is dead, then I want to know how to get my heart alive. One day the truth comes alive in them. They believe the truth and are saved. Who can explain this?

Just putting your faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, and just putting your faith in that, something changes. One day you were going in one direction and the next, you are going in a completely different direction. Can you come up with an explanation for that? Were you hyped? Was it because of the brilliant presentation that somebody gave? A person once asked Bob, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is the Light of the World

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 60 (08-19-19)

Synopsis

Bob continues sharing from John 12, starting at verse 35. Jesus told the Jews that he is the light of the world and he is not going to be in the world much longer. Jesus entered this dark world that we live in. We were born in darkness, without the light of Christ living in us. The disciples heard the truth, they saw the Light, touched him, ate with him and listened to His Light. But they were in darkness, devoid of understanding without the Spirit of God living in them. While Jesus was with them, they were kept safe and being tutored until faith could be revealed in them. Later, when Jesus spoke of the promised Holy Spirit to come, on that day of Pentecost, they received the Spirit of God, the Light to live within them. Then, through the Holy Spirit living in them, all the things Jesus spoke to them was brought to their remembrance and they understood the meaning of Jesus words.

Jesus is also speaking to us today. We had the light in the person of Christ Jesus but now we have the light of … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The Will of God is Believe in Jesus

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 36 (06-24-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George shares from the book of John. Jesus identifies himself as the bread of life when the Jews were all focused on physical food for daily living. Jesus was sharing spiritual truth with them, that he is the life they need to live forever. We came into this world with nothing and we will leave this world with nothing. We came into this world born spiritually dead and if we die in that state, we certainly have nothing but weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the worm never dies and the fire never goes out. The Spirit gives life and the flesh counts for nothing. So why spend all your energy focused on physically things that are here today and gone tomorrow. Listen to the very words of God, and Jesus is the exact representation of God on earth. He came from heaven to speak words from heaven and he is going back there, and in our day, he has already gone back there, so he can bring us to be with Him forever. The gospel is simple. You are dead and in need of life. We do not speak … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
