Religion Makes you Mean as a Hornet

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P526 (04-03-20)

Synopsis

Listen to how heart-breaking it is when believers are caught up in sin, but even more so when they are not approached in grace, but rather with condemnation. God instructs us to come with an attitude of restoring a brother who is caught up in sin, to come in an attitude of humility and grace. Listen as Bob explains the scriptures in Genesis, of Noah’s drunkenness, and his sons response to that, of Jesus teaching in Matthew, of taking at most two or three witnesses, and that only after the person refused to repent and who remained proud and in rebellion, of Jesus gracious response to the woman caught in adultery, and Paul’s instruction to us in Colossians, and the example of Paul to the brother who boasted of having sex with his father’s wife, how that was necessary to protect the body from infection.

Listen to Bob share with a father whose daughter is a lesbian, who is flaunting that sin, and wanting to bring her lover home with her. Bob shares truth in scripture that that is sin, and to not flaunt that sin in front of me … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Synopsis

Bob George answers the tough questions as well as the common questions often asked by people still today. What does it mean to carry your cross daily? Do you believe that Christ lives in unbelievers? What is the biggest difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant? What is James mean when he says faith without works is dead? How is that reconciled with what Paul says? These are a sampling of the questions asked by various callers. Listen as Bob George answers these questions from the scriptures. From the book of Romans we have been studying, how would you answer these questions?

How to Avoid The Lure of Deception

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P487 (10-31-19)

Synopsis

Bob answers the common questions that are asked today. Many times people attend a certain denomination but do not check out if what is being taught is true. If you are born again, you have the Holy Spirit living in you. So now, you have the mind of Christ and can discern the things of God. But do you read God’s word so that your mind can be renewed? How do you know if Bob George, or whoever you listen to, is teaching you correctly? How do you know if your pastor or Sunday school or denominational persuasion is teaching you correctly? You cannot know if you do not open up the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you.

Many times we will let our children see something on television, listening to some self proclaimed experts, who proclaim things as if they are true. A parent came home to find out his 14 year old son being taken in on someone speaking from the gospel of Judas. First of all, we do not know who wrote the book of Judas. He certainly was not an apostle … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Your Identity in Christ Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P467 (8-23-19)

Synopsis

The first caller, Anne, wanted to thank Bob for how he encouraged the previous caller, a man who was dying from cancer, to not make decisions based on fear and not to let the doctors or medical staff put fear in you. She had asked Bob if people should at least go more to the Lord instead of the medical profession or even pastors?

Bob and Anne both shared from personal experiences how much fear hospital staff and doctors put in you if you let them. Doctors will insist that if you do not do this or that procedure that you will have these consequences, that if you do not have open heart surgery that you will go into cardiac arrest. Te main point is that you do not let them drive your decision-making based on fear. You lean on the Lord for wisdom and understanding for the decisions you make.

Bob was in agreement with Anne on this matter. Both Anne and Bob shared much heart-breaking experiences of friends or relatives with cancer. A man dies much sooner than expected, and that even from something next to nothing, or … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Salvation is Eternal Life in Jesus

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 39 (07-01-19)

Bob George continues sharing from the gospel of John. He shared about how the disciples waited in Galilee to receive the promised Holy Spirit. That day they were born again. When they received the Holy Spirit, they were changed men. Before they were once cowardly and fearful, hiding in a room fearing for their lives, and now they are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ boldly before men. There are those in the crowd who were drawn to hear the teachings of Jesus. So too was Nicodemus, a religious Pharisee. Unlike the other Pharisees, he wanted to know the will of God. Nicodemus had said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” The other Pharisees were like Communists or politicians of today, not wanting to hear truth, but just spin a story. They hated Jesus without reason. Jesus came full of grace and truth. This is very evident in John 8 in how he restores a woman caught in adultery. The Pharisees set her up in order try to … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

How Many Miracles to Believe

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 38 (06-26-19)

Bob George continues sharing from the gospel of John, starting at John 7:30. The main point Bob emphasized was that Jesus acted in love. He did not come to condemn but to save. He walked in love and is full of mercy and grace. His attitude is one of how to restore man. When you see someone in a sin, do you look down on them and tell them they deserve to be where they are or do you have pity and a longing in your heart for the person to be set free, to walk in new free freedom, to change their attitude toward sin.

After the humble, those wanting to do the will of God, seeing Jesus love, miracles and manner of life, had come to believe and put their faith in Jesus, the rulers of the age and the religious leaders became angry. How nonsensical and against all reason is that! Yet that is not unlike the religious leaders and rulers of this world today. The rulers of this world see such actions of Jesus as a threat to their earthly kingdom, and wanted to kill Jesus, all … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
