Romans 12:2
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Jesus took away the wrath of God for our sins. He did not atone for sins, He took them away. Propitiation means it was satisfied for the sins of the whole world. It is finished. He loved us so much that He did this for us! He took away ALL OUR SINS! Once we grab a hold of this Truth then we rest in His Love for us. A Star Shines on King Jesus!

When you think of all the things spoken by the prophets, that were fulfilled in Christ, and how sovereign God is, that everything He has said has come to pass, who, in their right mind, would not come to choose Life? The star stood over the place where Jesus lay, just as it was spoken through the prophet. Jesus shall be called Emmanuel, and we see the transfiguration, where a voice from heaven says, “Listen to him. This is My Beloved Son”. God spoke to Joseph and Mary through dreams, and what had been spoken through the prophets was fulfilled, such as Jesus would be called a Nazarene. Numerous miracles were performed through Jesus, as the prophets of old said he would do when he came. John the Baptist was visited in prison, and Jesus told his disciples to report these things to him while he was in prison. Jesus himself, at various times said that he would die, but on the third day, be raised again from the dead. Then, after Jesus’ resurrection, he appeared to over 500 people, who were still alive. The Holy Spirit is Constantly Renewing Your Mind – Teaching You Truth

Simeon prophesied that Jesus will cause the rising and falling of many in Israel, a sign that will be spoken against, so that the hearts of many will be revealed. There is something about mankind, who is born spiritually dead, that he is naturally opposed to truth. Truth sounds as foolishness to him. You can talk about God all day long, and people seem to be okay with that. People talk about all kinds of religions, and people are okay with that too. But once you talk about Jesus or the truth of His word, there is an aversion, a pulling away, or even quite a reaction with false accusations.

In today’s world, hardly anyone wants to hear truth anymore. The bible and prayer have long been kicked out of the public sphere. Situational ethics and evolution have been taught in our schools. Seminaries are teaching things that ought not to be taught. Even bible societies and bible translators are not required to uphold the bible as the inerrant word of God. Understanding the Significance of The Birth of Jesus

As you read the familiar story of the account in Luke of the birth and early life of Christ, what grabs your attention? The Spirit continually teaches us through His word, even from passages so familiar to us, as we stop and ponder His word, and ask the Lord to reveal to us what He wants us to see today. When you think of how the Spirit is at work to reveal truth to men, do you see how He works throughout the ages to reveal Himself to men? How has He revealed Himself to you? Today, He has revealed Himself to us by the Son He has given.

What do you think of the shepherds in the fields, who had angels visit them, and then Mary, through whom the angel Gabriel told her of the Spirit to be placed in her, to be called Immanuel, God with us? Then you have the Spirit speak to Simeon about a prophecy from the prophet Micah, that both the Israelites and the Gentiles will be saved the same way, through this small child Jesus, who will be the light to the Gentiles.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

If You Are in Christ Jesus, You Are a Child of God!

So when you become born again, what is your identity? Are you a Baptist, a Presbyterian, or whatever title you choose to associate with? No. The bible only gives you one identity, a child of God. Denominations teach you denominational persuasions of men. Do you hold the teachings of men higher than God’s Truth? What these denomination teach might be true or it might not be. How do you know that what people are teaching you is true? By the word of God you hold in your hands, and by the Spirit of God, living in you, who has promised to guide you into all truth. Do you test whatever any man says is true? Do you test what is being said by looking into God’s word, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you? That is what the apostle Paul commended the Bereans for doing. We also have the exhortation to study the word so at to rightly divide the word of God. We are instructed to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

God Wants to Renew Your Mind

“For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; but then shall I know, even as also I am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12

So often mankind lives in error because of the futility of their thinking. We are born spiritually dead, without the life of God in us, and until we are born again, we are essentially left to our own carnal thinking. We think we can pull it off and obey the law, or we think we can decide for ourselves what is right and wrong, and have no understanding that God within the man is indispensable to the proper functioning of the man. When we speak to a person who is lost, many will reject anything we have to say about Jesus but will pick and chose the “good” things out of all religion as though they can get salvation from all the different religions. The understanding of the lost is so foreign to someone who is now in Christ. They don’t have a clue what being born again means.

When we are born again, the Spirit of God comes to indwell within us and give us life and to renew our mind.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
