Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P724 (04-08-22)

Allow the Holy Spirit to Teach You ALL TRUTH

Trust in the Holy Spirit to teach you all truth. Don’t depend on what man says or what man teaches, for someone can be teaching you error. Be as a Berean, and study the word of God to see if things are as they claim to be taught. Learn in context and rely on the Holy Spirit to renew your mind. We have been taught much error through the years in our lives, and if we trust on our flesh to teach us, then we are relying on our own understanding of things instead of God. Reminder, for all those in Christ Jesus, we have the mind of Christ living in us. Trust in Him to teach you ALL TRUTH.

Jesus is The Creator of Heaven and Earth

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P649 (07-08-21)

Synopsis

In this world there will always be false teaching. There will be pastors of churches who do not know the Lord. There will be people who do know the Lord, but would rather rely on their intellect, their Greek, their Hebrew, their seminary, to teach the word of God. Many times people will teach whatever theology that they grew up with or came to know the Lord under. And since they are told they must go to seminary in order to preach, and so they go to seminary and there they are taught all sorts of tradition or teaching that may or may not be true. Sadly, so few people will test to see if what they heard is so, by checking the scriptures out for themselves. The whole issue of false teaching is false dependency, leaning on your own understanding rather than relying on the Holy Spirit living in you, to reveal the meaning of the word of God to you. Indeed, the whole reason the Spirit is there is to be your Counselor, to guide you into all truth, to renew your mind with truth, so you can … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is God and Truth

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P648 (07-02-21)

Synopsis

Listen as people call to get answers to their questions. Every now and then, you have a caller who asks, “What must I do to be saved?” or says “I am having doubts about my salvation.” Many people have doubts about their salvation for any number of reasons. And wherever you are right now, we all start out the same way, without the Spirit of God living in you. That is, we are all born dead spiritually and are in need of new life.

When you are reading the gospels, you are reading a record of the life of Christ while he was here on earth. What was his destiny? He came to die on the cross and give you and me eternal life in Himself. In order to do that, He had to prepare us and show us what our condition was. He had to show us we are sinners. If we do not see ourselves as sinners, what would the cross mean to me? He had to show us we are dead. If I did not know I was dead, why would I need life? The teachings in … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Salvation is Life in Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P638 (05-28-21)

Synopsis

We have this struggle between our flesh and the Spirit more than we like to admit or even realize. When you think of sin, as God defines it, as anything that does not come from faith is sin, how many times are we anxious? Many of us have been incorrectly taught that you need to confess your sins to God to keep in fellowship, but that is not biblical. Jesus took away our sins at the cross, without which there is no forgiveness of sins, and He did that before we even asked Him to. He is not going to shed His blood again, and has chosen to remember our sins no more. The sin of the world that must be repented of, and the only sin, is unbelief in Him. So it is not faith to ask for what in Him you already have, the forgiveness of sins. Again, that forgiveness was provided before you and I were ever born physically into this world. In Him is the redemption, the forgiveness of sins, as we read in Ephesians 1:7. Are you in Him?

If you are a child of … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus The Word of God

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P12 (03-03-21)

Synopsis

Once it is established in your mind that indeed the scriptures are the very words of God, and you know God is not a liar, then you can trust that whatever event God says happened, then it happened. The word of God has relevance to our lives and has more meaning than just confirming that some historical event happened. In other words, it would be irrelevant to me whether Noah and the flood actually happened or not if I did not believe Jesus is God, or had no confidence that these are the words of God. Whether I believe in Noah or the flood or not is irrelevant to whether I am going to spend eternity with God or not. But if I did not believe Jesus is God, and then heard Jesus say that I shall surely die in my sins if I do not believe in Him, in what He came to do and did, then His words might just have enough meaning, to ask the question, “Do I want to have life or die in my sins?” So faith in what God says … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is Truth Now Be as a Berean

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P11 (03-02-21)

Synopsis

It is so easy to assume someone is a believer. They go to church. They talk the talk. They pray. They sure act like one. They are even nice-sounding people. But the truth of the matter is the only person who really knows is the individual himself and God. But we can do ourselves or someone else a disservice by not asking probing questions about what truth is. We could also just assume they think just like us, and know what we know. But what if we also do not know the truth. Do we really simply want people to know what we know?

We may know Jesus is God, that he died, was buried and rose again and we even know about the Trinity, and believe that to be true. But does that necessarily mean that we know God? Does that mean we understand what it means to be born again? I may have even heard the phrase born again, but it might have a totally different connotation of meaning to me than what God really intended me to understand and know. What if I … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
