Faith in Jesus Says Thank You

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P921 (04-04-24)

Thank Jesus For What He Did at the Cross!

~ We ought to thank Jesus for the forgiveness he provided at the cross for us. If we are still asking for forgiveness to God, then we are not resting in His forgiveness. We in essence are saying, I don’t believe my sins were forgiven at the cross. Some are doing this because they don’t know any better. Others are doing it out of a prideful heart. They think their forgiveness is higher than God’s forgiveness. Jesus said it is finished. Everything was taken care of at the cross. There is nothing more for anyone to do. When a person realizes the TRUTH they say Thank you to God. Thanking him is our true confession of faith. Thanking him is the same meaning as Confess in the Greek word for Confess used in the Bible. Asking for forgiveness is the complete opposite of faith. Faith always says thank you.

~ When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30

Thank You Jesus For Forgiveness

Thanksgiving P3 – Bob George (11-24-23)

Thank Jesus For Everything

~ Our confession of faith means to thank Jesus for everything that he has done for us and for giving us life in Him too. Confession in Greek means to offer thanksgiving to God. When you are offering thanksgiving to God, you are agreeing with Him. You have accepted the fact that he forgave ALL your sins at the cross. You are accepting the fact that he rose from the dead. You are accepting the fact that the same Holy Spirit that gave Jesus life is the same Holy Spirit that gives you life. You are accepting the fact that Jesus now lives in you if you are in Christ Jesus and he is in you. You are accepting the fact that he wants to live his life in and through you. You are accepting the fact that you are the temple of God. You are accepting the fact that he has made you holy. You are accepting the fact that he will never leave you nor forsake you. All of that is our thanksgiving to God. So the greatest thing we can offer to God, is that which he … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Give Thanks to Jesus

Classic Christianity – Thanksgiving Part 5 (11-26-21)

Give Thanks, Your Sins Have Been Forgiven

As the Thanksgiving season is here, consider how much we have been freely given. If you are in Christ, you are free. You are free from the law. You are no longer under the law of sin and death, the law with it’s demands that you could never keep. Sin was your master and owner. In Christ, you are no longer a prisoner of the law. You were once locked up until faith should be revealed. Has faith been revealed to you? Can you now call God your Father because you have become a child of God, a new creation in Christ?

Even before the law was given, sin was in the world. All of us were born dead spiritually. The law was powerless to save you nor could it. We were already weak in our natural selves, being dead already. We keep doing what we know we ought not do and we do not do what we know we should. And when we fail, there is guilt under the law. Then why was the law given? The law was added so that man may see … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Forgave You Completely of All Sins

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The New Covenant P17 (06-30-21)

Synopsis

The word “brainwashing” is used a lot more today. In regard to the vaccination propaganda, with bribes for free doughnuts, cruises or college tuition, and peer pressure to comply and get the shot, as media continually broadcasts that it is safe and effective. Yet, why would well-renowned doctors, experts in virology, front line doctors, be willing to lose their license and their reputation by telling the truth?

So too with the disciples of Jesus Christ. Why would they lie about the resurrection of Jesus Christ? They saw Him on that waters edge to cast their net to the other side, and to become fishers of men. Why would they be willing to lose everything to tell about Jesus? Why would they be willing to be persecuted and face a martyr’s death for something they thought was a lie? That would not make sense. They believed Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus.

Sadly, the Christian world today has been stuck in faulty thinking. It is so much easier to brainwash someone to believe a lie … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Salvation is Life in Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P638 (05-28-21)

Synopsis

We have this struggle between our flesh and the Spirit more than we like to admit or even realize. When you think of sin, as God defines it, as anything that does not come from faith is sin, how many times are we anxious? Many of us have been incorrectly taught that you need to confess your sins to God to keep in fellowship, but that is not biblical. Jesus took away our sins at the cross, without which there is no forgiveness of sins, and He did that before we even asked Him to. He is not going to shed His blood again, and has chosen to remember our sins no more. The sin of the world that must be repented of, and the only sin, is unbelief in Him. So it is not faith to ask for what in Him you already have, the forgiveness of sins. Again, that forgiveness was provided before you and I were ever born physically into this world. In Him is the redemption, the forgiveness of sins, as we read in Ephesians 1:7. Are you in Him?

If you are a child of … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

God Works Everything Out For Our Good

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P45 (05-19-21)

Synopsis

As we are looking at the application of the word of God in our lives, we ask ourselves, “How do we do this?” Do we obey because it is a command of God, and therefore, we must do it? If the law says, do not steal, then should I not steal? The law is holy, righteous and good, but there is a deeper problem in the heart of man. If we try to live the Christian life that way, that would be putting ourselves back under a law that the Jews lived under in an Old Covenant system, and the entire Old Testament is a history of their failure, yet also of God’s faithfulness. Such a system says that you are cursed if you do not continue to do everything written in the law. The law, and what Jesus explains concerning the law, buries us, showing us our unrighteousness that we might see our need of a Saviour and look for Him to save us from ourselves, our condition of death.

So then how can we live the Christian life? The quick and direct answer is … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
