The Law Was Given to Lead Us to Christ Jesus!

~ The law was given to show us our need for Christ Jesus and so that sin would actually increase and we become more aware of sin today. There are modern day Pharisees (hypocrites) that think they can somehow obey even the 10 today. They lie to themselves and God, saying they obey the 10 Commandments and don’t have a clue that God is looking at the heart. No one obeys the 10 Commandments or any part of the law. Furthermore, if anyone could obey the law, then Jesus died for nothing. In fact, people that say they are obeying the law of God, the word of God tells us that they are under a curse. The bottom line, the law is for the lost not the saved.

Present Your Bodies to Jesus to Worship in Spirit and Truth

~ “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” ^{Romans 12:1}

~ “And folks, what we ought to be doing is listening to what the Spirit of God living in us is saying to us. Because the only kind of worship that God’s interested in is when you worship in Spirit and in truth, where they’re the kind of worshipers that God seeks. The law written on stone, shows you your sinfulness. And that’s what the Bible says, that the law was given to show us to be perfectly sinful though, so that we would turn to Christ for our redemption. My friends, the law had a purpose, the law still has a purpose, but it says, it’s not to the saved. It’s to the lost and the purpose of the law to the lost, is to show us to be perfectly sinful so that we see and turn to him for his provision.

How is that two people can both hear the same message concerning Christ, and one will become born again and another not? Recall what Jesus told in the parable of the farmer who sowed his seed (Mark 4:1-25). As you read the scriptures, such as Hebrews, what is your attitude of heart?
