Will Jesus Find Faith on the Earth

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P46 (12-13-23)

Jesus Declared, “This is a Wicked Generation.”

~ If the generation was wicked when Jesus, God in flesh was standing right in front of people, imagine how wicked this current generation is. People are still looking for all kinds of signs. And Jesus even told of his return and that he would deal quickly with things, but would he find faith upon the earth? Jesus said, “I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” Luke 18:8

Folks, the issue today is faith. Faith from first to last. Most people fail to exercise faith. They hear Truth, and it goes in one ear and out the other. Truth: Your sins have been forgiven. Truth: God is no longer counting your sins against you. Truth: Noah and the whole world flood was real. Truth: Lot was real and Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Truth: Jonah was swallowed by a big fish and was a sign to the Ninevites. Truth: Jesus was raised from the dead after three days and three nights.

Most people will not share Truth … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Follow Jesus to the Cross and The Resurrection

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P32 (04-18-23)

Follow Jesus to the Cross and Then The Resurrection

~ “And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!” Philippians 2:8

~ Have you followed Jesus to the cross and then to the empty tomb? Are you going to Jesus to receive His eternal life, or are you going to God as a vending machine for things in your life? Which is more important to you, physical temporary life and things in this life, or eternal Life in Him?

“And so whether it be to a lost doctor or a lost person living under the bridge, they’re lost. And they’re dead. I asked the group the other day, which body stinkith the most, a dead doctor, or a dead person living under a bridge? The stench is the same, they’re dead, and the need of life. And until you give people the gospel of Christ Jesus, the truth of Christ Jesus, all you’ve done is to satisfy a physical hunger, that’s going to come right back again. And you’re going to find people following you for no other reason … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Has Taken Away Your Sins Once For All

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P36 (04-28-21)

Synopsis

The word of God is living and active. In the word of God is the words of good news, the gospel of salvation. It speaks of an Old Covenant, a law of sin and death, that has since been replaced by a New Covenant with man, whereby sins and lawless acts will be remembered no more.

So the word of God has given us everything that we need to learn about the love of God that is contained in Christ Jesus our Lord. How then do we respond to someone who says “I do not believe the bible is the word of God? I do not believe the bible is true? Do you believe that bible is true?”

The word of God is likened to a sword that cuts open and reveals to us the attitudes of our heart. So if a surgeon has a knife to treat a person with cancer, to cut out that cancer or the person will die, what must the surgeon do? He has to cut it out. Certainly he must communicate the problem to a person with cancer so they … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

God is Creator We are Responders

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P14 (03-09-21)

Synopsis

When we are talking about the validity of Old Testament events, which certainly adds to the validity of the Old Testament itself, it all gets back again to one simple question Jesus asked, “Who do you say that I am?” Because if Jesus is who He is, God, and He said there is a Sodom and a Gomorrah then there was a Sodom and a Gomorrah

As you read the account of Sodom and Gomorrah, something striking you will notice. Fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. That is why archaeologists have never found those two cities that were destroyed by God. That adds to the validity of the scriptures. Archaeologists have found almost everything else recorded in the scriptures but they never found Sodom and Gomorrah.

But as you read these different accounts, do not just simply believe that this event happened or not, for that has no relevance to how you live your life. But take note of the analogy Jesus used in referring to these events in regard to His judgment on mankind. Jesus is pointing to a future … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Brought a Sword of His Word

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P13 (03-08-21)

Synopsis

What convinces you that Jonah was in a fish? Or that there was a big flood? When you read what is recorded that Jesus said about these events, and knowing that Jesus is God, what would you have to conclude? That God is either a liar, which it is impossible for God to lie, or that those events really happened and those people really existed. Why would Jesus make some analogy between the flood of Noah to a future event in history where just as it was like in the days of Noah so will it be again, when God calls mankind, who put their trust in what God has said, to meet Jesus in the sky?

Jesus equated His own life and His resurrection to Jonah being in a belly of a whale. Was the resurrection an actual event? Absolutely. How can you equate His resurrection to an actual event to a fairy tale? Again, we are forced to conclude something about Jonah and the big fish. That is, if Jesus is indeed who He claims to be, and that is God, and He says … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
