If You Have the Son, You Have Eternal Life

~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12

~ Eternal life begins the very moment you accept Jesus for what he did for you personally. When you realize that Jesus forgave you of all of your sins on the cross, and he is no longer counting your sins against you jump for joy. Now there is no more 1 John 1:9 for forgiveness. You solidify that in your own mind, instead of being tossed to and fro by every wave of doctrine. And you are either in the fellowship saved, or out of the fellowship lost. Don’t let someone convince you, you are bouncing in and out of fellowship. It’s a lie to teach that.

Law Was Given by Moses ~ Grace Was Given by Jesus Christ

~ The Contrast Between Law and Grace
The Word of God makes abundant use of a very helpful teaching tool—contrasts: light and darkness, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan, life and death, lost and saved, just to name a few. And one very beautiful and educational contrast found throughout the Bible is law and grace.

Far from being a dull theological subject, law and grace is the very backbone of the gospel. The difference between the two is at the heart of how a person is saved and, equally important, how a person will live the Christian life. Law and grace is not a side issue, it winds its way into every nook and cranny of the Christian life.

Without a proper understanding of law and grace, a person will be “double minded, and unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8). The Bible will be hopelessly contradictory for such a person and he will be unable to relate to God with confidence and thanksgiving.

We see that we’ve we’ve messed around with that, even in psychological studies to realize the effects of, of love on a person. And God knows that he’s the one who made us and He knows what it is, and what it does for you to know that you’re loved. And so folks, when Christ is talking about, and Paul is talking about the fact of coming to know the love of God, it’s because that is the emphasis of the Christian life, not what you’re doing. But not that we loved him, but he loved us first coming to grips with that. And then letting everything be a byproduct of that. In other words, you’re controlled by the love of God. “I can tell you where your anger comes from. Anger comes from fear. And anger is a secondary response to fear. And men don’t like to admit they’re fearful. So they just take it up and angry. They don’t mind saying I’m angry. But anger is just a sign of the fears that are within you. It could be the fear of again, of not being able to stay sober. Fear of not being able to live the kind of life you want to live, fear of people finding out what’s really going on under the skin. There’s a lot of things that we live in fear. And there’s only one solution. And I say that very emphatically one and one alone, one solution to fear. And that’s the perfect love of God perfect love casts away all fear, not some fear, but all of it. Walk by Abiding in Christ Jesus Not by The Flesh

~ “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

Any lost person can abide in ethics, but only a child of God can abide in Christ Jesus. Many a Christian, come to life in Christ Jesus but then go out there and try to live in the energy of the flesh. They try to follow principles. They try to follow ethics.

“And so we’re gonna say, am I going to be arrogant? Am I going to act on becomingly? Am I seeking your interests over and above my own? That’s what Christ did. And here we’re saying, Well, I follow christian ethics, folks, that isn’t the issue, are you abiding in Christ? that’s the issue. And if you are, then you’re going to be abiding in His love, in his acceptance, in his kindness, in His mercy in His grace, that’s what it means to walk abiding in Christ.
