~ There are many questions people have today in regards to marriage, divorce and remarriage. They want to know if it is okay for them to remarry if they have been divorced? Listen in as Bob shares biblical counseling on this key question and other questions for today.

~ Understanding the New Covenant and the Sabbath rest that we now have in Christ Jesus is vitally important to understanding our freedom in Christ Jesus. Don’t let anyone judge you for resting in your Sabbath rest with Him today.

~ When it comes to this body that we live in, it is wise to remember that it is a temporary housing and we have a new body waiting for us, one that will live forever. So when we face health issues and sickness in our life, place that in God’s hands. Ask Him for what His will is for you at that particular point in time.

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P32 (10-19-21)

Come to Jesus; Enter that Sabbath Rest God Has Provided; Take a Vacation in Jesus

Why do we not experience peace? Is it because of faulty thinking? So, when you recognize you are not thinking correctly, do you go to a counselor instead of the Counselor, the Spirit of truth? What did the counselor prescribe? Maybe the counselor did point you to the Counselor. Or, maybe he just gave you some medicine to numb your mind. Either way, he cannot help you. But if He knows Christ, he can certainly point you to the one who can. Or do you go to a gentle stream? And you might feel some temporary relief, until you leave the scene. Is that the peace we read about that Jesus tells us we can have? No. He says that He gives us peace the world knows nothing about.

As you ponder over these passages of scriptures, Hebrews 4:1-11, Hebrews 10:1-14, Hebrews 7:11-28, and Hebrews 8:28, what do you conclude in regarding this Sabbath rest that we can enter into?

Are You Burdened and Heavy Laden? Who Can Give You Rest for Your Soul? Jesus Says, “Come Unto Me.”

Have you lost a son or a daughter, a mother or a father? Have you been kicked out of a church for sharing completed forgiveness? Have you been fired from a job? Are you homeless? Are you without a family or friends you can talk to? Do relationships with people just seem to fall apart? Have you not seen relatives in years or been able to talk with them because of deep pain? Do you have a son or daughter who is just struggling in life, and you see him or her hurt and you hurt with them too? Do you feel you are carrying this burden all alone? Growing in Grace: Overcoming Habits, Replacing False Dependencies, Love Conquers Fear, Renewing the Mind, Walking in Truth, and Realizing We Are Not Under the Law but Under Grace

When we are born again, we have the Holy Spirit living in us, but we also have sin-indwelling flesh. So there is this battle between the flesh and the spirit (Galatians 5:16-18). But as we learn to walk in the Spirit, we do not carry out the deeds of the flesh. We have in us everything we need for life and godliness so we can participate in the divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4). One hindrance we have in spiritual growth is the error and lies we have believed. Error is replaced with truth as we meditate on God’s word, relying on the Lord to renew our minds (Romans 12:1-2). His word is truth (John 17:17), and Jesus, who is the living Word (John 1:1,14), tells us that the truth shall set you free (John 8:32).

What Does it Mean to Enter God’s Rest?

All of us will face burdens or go weary in this fallen world we live in. Entering God’s rest does not mean we will not face hardships or difficulties in life. It does not mean we will live a completely sinless life, for we still have this struggle with our sin-indwelling flesh that is in conflict with the Spirit, who lives in us now. But it does mean that we have someone to go to, who loves and accepts us unconditionally and wants to give us abundant life. Jesus says He will never leave me nor forsake me and that He remembers my sins no more. That means, as a child of God, I am no longer under the law, under an Old Covenant, but under a New Covenant of grace, and I can boldly go to the throne of grace for help in time of need.
