In this world it seems things are constantly changing, and almost instantaneously. We have election fraud, a so-called C pandemic, an earthquake here and there, a tornado, or some other disaster, and a war about to break out in a moment’s notice. And we have a push for all people to just get along, regardless of whatever you believe, for that is just your opinion, as people would say. It is also so easy to get your mind, as an American, to spend all your energy and time to restore America. People call in to get advice and help on various topics, such as personal struggles with temptation or clarification on understanding scriptures, particularly those passages in the gospels that apply only to the Jewish people who were living under an Old Covenant. So Bob explains what the New Covenant we live under today is.

Jesus used the law to bury people under the law so they can see their need for a Savior. Until the work was finished, Jesus taught about the New Covenant to come, and he told his disciples to wait in Galilee for the promised Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes into a person, a person becomes born again, the Spirit remains forever. That is what happened to the disciples on the day of Pentecost, the first time in history people were born again.

Synopsis

As was prophesied through the prophet Jeremiah, and explained more thoroughly in the book of Hebrews, we live today under a new covenant. Jeremiah and Jesus both lived under an old covenant. While Jesus was on this earth, He lived under an old covenant while speaking about a new covenant to come. He initiated a new covenant, or new will, after His death on a cross. Just as we have a will today that only goes into effect after the person living dies, so too with this new covenant Jesus spoke about, that also the writer of Hebrews explains.

The old covenant was one of law, like a tutor to those under the law until Christ should come to fulfill the law. No man could fulfill all the just requirements of the law. This law required perfection and if anyone failed at just one point, he was guilty of breaking all of it. Sometimes we struggle with answering questions that non-believers ask. They do not know the Lord so they ask questions without understanding and also from a perspective of the world. They could be caught up in believing all kinds of things that are not even true, like someone has a hex on them, or not believing the truth, that Jesus is God or the Trinity, that God is one, and there is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Many times they have a negative attitude toward religion, and whenever they hear the word Jesus, they automatically associate all that they hate about religion with Jesus, not distinguishing the difference between the two. Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P10 (10-26-20)

Synopsis

The religious mind is still bent upon establishing a righteousness of their own. But God came that we might receive His righteousness. At such a point in time in history, a person understands what God did for him through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He knows the meaning of what Jesus Christ alone accomplished for him and enters into a relationship with the living God. This is a work of the Holy Spirit, to be made complete in Christ. When you are born again, you have been made complete in Christ.

All of God is in Christ and all of Christ is living in you, if you are born again. Christ was all the fullness in bodily form, receiving all of his resources from God the Father, and now I have been given that completeness and fullness in Christ. You have the fullness of God living in you. That is what makes you complete.
