It is so important to speak truth in love, for that is how people are set free, with truth. So what hinders us from speaking truth? Is it not fear? And if we fear, where is our attention mostly on? Is it not on ourselves, in what we perceive we might lose or be hurt by others who may not think the same way we do, of the persecution we might receive by not telling the truth? What do you think happened in Nazi Germany, when people were afraid to speak out in truth? There is a time in which when people fail to live in accordance with what is true that freedom is taken away more and more, until before long the consequences are so severe, it is nearly impossible to ever gain your freedom back. What would happen to the black man in the days of slavery if courageous men did not speak the truth and had what were truly peaceful protests back then, unlike what people falsely claim as peaceful protests today, with buildings on fire in the background, yet calling it peaceful. Synopsis

There is no more important subject in the world than the resurrection of Christ. The resurrection of Jesus Christ has come under the most scrutiny of men from the New Testament times to this present day. You have legal minds who have studied the evidence. You have historians who have studied facts and the testimonies of those who recorded the event. Then numerous people have recorded the relevance of the resurrection. It is totally an established historical fact.

Numerous men throughout history have been martyred for a cause, some for their religious belief, a lie, and others for the truth, but in either case, none of them raised themselves to new life. Only Jesus willingly laid down His life, only to raise it up again, and as He said, that command He received from His Father. That is what separates Jesus from any other man in history.

You most certainly have heard about the resurrection, not denying it as a historical event, but have you understood the true meaning of the resurrection as it pertains to you personally? Timing is Everything With Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P38 (01-19-21)

Synopsis

A topic that often comes up is praying for healing, as we hear about these so-called healing ministries. As difficult as it is to see a loved one paralyzed or maimed, it is still not our place to heal at will. God is the one in authority over all things, and He also did not heal everyone. For example, He did not heal those in his hometown and marveled at their lack of faith. Then there is this faulty idea that if I had enough faith then this or that person would be healed. That is so damaging, this teaching, causing people so much heartbreak and pain.

There is this improper emphasis on my faith, or on me, to do something. But faith is in the person of Jesus Christ. This faith is expressed through a child of God, in a dynamic, relational faith in Christ, through someone who knows God and is operating on the basis of what is true. This faith is a trust in the will of he Father just as Jesus had.

Jesus Loves You He Forgave All Your Sins

Synopsis

The older you get, you will experience the death of someone you love, of a mother or father or a close friend. Or you may be experiencing a very difficult situation where a close friend is sick, or is in a critical accident, and is unconscious. You call on others to pray with you. Now, do we pray in accordance with God’s will or do we expect God to answer whatever we pray? Do we falsely think that since God lives in me, and He healed people, that, therefore, we can ask anything in His name and He will do it? In other words, am I telling God what to do so that He must respond to me, or am I listening to the voice of God and responding to what He has intended me to do or say?

Do we keep looking for a sign and a wonder but never come to faith in Christ, looking for only those things of this world, that are temporary and do not last? Faith in Jesus Sets the Believer Apart

Synopsis

It is so easy to have errors in your head. All you have to do is be born into this world, in the sin nature of Adam, and be exposed to the god of this world. God wanted to restore our thinking, so it is based on truth, in Him who is truth. But we grow hearing things, even from denominations or whatever church we grew up in. We hear things like, “I am just a sinner saved by grace.” If you are in Christ, is that true? Not according to the word of God, it isn’t. You are a saint who sometimes sins. You have a new identity called a child of God, a saint by calling, in accordance with who you are. So we must hear truth, and allow that truth to dispel error. That is growing in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Truth comes through revelation by the Spirit of God through the word of God.

Jesus is Truth and the Way

Synopsis

It takes time to get wisdom, and that only comes by knowing God, spending time in His word, and learning to ask good questions. A home bible study, or a Zoom meeting with other believers, can be helpful for that. But the group meeting should be organized about the word of God, and focused on getting to know the author. This is not like a book study, where you get information, like you would a history or math book. In those kinds of studies, like you would study in college, you are not trying to get to know the author. You primarily just want to get a grade and a degree. Not so with the bible. You want to know a person, and by knowing that person of Jesus Christ, you get wisdom.

In this day of Coronavirus, with all these lockdowns and censoring going on, more and more people are beginning to see more readily that the church is not a building but people, people who are born again, who have Christ living in them.
