As far as marital strife, remember that we can make plans but God can change them. Where there is a disagreement, remember that love considers others more important than yourself, and these issues have to be talked through. A woman has a limited time after a certain age in which she can have children, so that must be taken into consideration. You must also consider the fact of trusting God for your daily needs. All of us need encouragement in this fallen world we live in. As Jesus warned us so many times, let no man deceive you. All of us have been deceived one time or another and are all subject to deception. Many of us grew up in some denomination that taught legalism and all sorts of error, or cults even, saying you have to belong to my church to be saved, and some of us came to the knowledge of the truth. We came to realize God’s word is truth, and anything contrary to that is to be rejected as from men. Not all men are deliberately deceiving you. Many are simply passing on what they heard from others.

How grateful we are for those many people, the born again believers all over the world, who have understood God’s grace, and spread that message of grace so we heard the message of truth and came to believe. Synopsis

At times callers call because they are not quite grasping what they are reading in scripture or what they hear from the pulpit does not seem to make sense anymore. A person usually starts off by saying he believes Jesus died for all my sins, past, present and future, but then wonders if he needs to confess his sins to be sure he dies in a state of grace so he does not lose salvation. That is a person who has not grasped what salvation is. If salvation depends on anything we do to get it or keep it, then it is not salvation.

The only sin attributable to man is the sin of unbelief in what Jesus accomplished for us. Now, just because Jesus died on a cross does not mean everyone is universally saved. No one is saved by the death of Christ, although His death is a necessary part of salvation. Everyone is reconciled to God through the death of God’s Son, something Jesus did 2000 years ago for us, and had nothing to do with what we who are alive today did, for we were not even born yet when Jesus died.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

It seems in today’s church world or religious world, people do not know what it means to rest. It seems people are either working for their salvation, which is an impossibility, or are trying to double up their efforts in the church to be certain they are pleasing to God. The first question to be asked is, “Do you know what salvation is?” That is where you start. Do you know the totality of the cross, what is accomplished for you and me? Do you know the meaning of the resurrection? Do you know if you are made complete in Christ, being made a child of God, with a new identity, with the Spirit of God living in you? Have you entered the Sabbath rest as spoken about in Hebrews?

And as you come to Christ, realize that you still have sin-indwelling flesh. You are not going to perfect your flesh, or make it better. No, you overcome your flesh by the Spirit, by loving one another. But love is not something you conjure up. All of us struggle with all kinds of things in this fallen flesh of ours. It is good to know the mercy and grace of God. No matter what you are going through, there is hope in God. What a blessing it is when you have someone to talk to, who has been through what you are going through, and has learned to overcome the flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit, having had his mind renewed with truth.

Whether you are struggling with depression or in the process of going through a divorce, there is practical wisdom in Christ to deal with these struggles. The apostle Paul addressed some issues in regard to divorce in terms of the grace of God, under the New Covenant that we live under now. Yes, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. So often believers have not come to understand that they do not live under the law any more. New Life in Christ Jesus

Synopsis

When you become born again, all things become new. Yes, there is growth, a renewing of the mind that has to occur, and will occur. We have an enemy, called Satan, that speaks through to our flesh. We learn to recognize the voice of God and what truth is, so that we can demolish those strongholds, those lies of Satan, and begin to walk in the new life God has given. God is tender toward us, and we have been given a new identity, called a child of God.

That new identity we have, a child of God, not a sinner saved by grace or an ex-convict, but a child of God, and when you grasp that truth, that is the starting point in which growth occurs. When you realize that God will never leave you or forsake, and loves and accepts you unconditionally, then that is an anchor to your soul. If error is what binds you, then truth is what sets you free.
